An extensive collection of eBooks is available to all Indiana residents through INSPIRE. As electronic, full-text copies of published print materials, eBooks can beviewed from any home, business, school or library computer with Internet access in Indiana. The Indiana Shared eBook Collection contains over 2,500 titles from leading publishers of reference, scholarly and professional books. Indiana residents have exclusive rights to check out a broad range of eBooks on subjects including psychology, history,social and political science, fine arts, language, medicine and technology. To access the Indiana Shared eBook Collection simply go towww.inspire.in.gov and click on the "NetLibrary" icon on the lowerleft-hand side of the screen. This will direct you to the Indiana's eBook collection. From here, users can perform simple searches to locate eBooks based on their criteria. Also, eBook titles will appear on the results page following a standard INSPIRE search.

GOVERNMENT PORTAL FOR FEDERAL FORMS

Do you need tax forms? Maybe you’re looking to start a new business and you don’t know where to start. The federal government provides a portal to various forms from governmental agencies. Whether you’re searching as a business or as an individual citizen, you should be able to find the form you are looking for. You can perform broad general searches, search by agency or search by agency list. If you have the form number, you can also look it up that way.

There is a list of frequently used forms, including Tax Forms, Small Business Forms, and FEMA forms. If you are unable to find the specific form you are looking for, the site provides links to other sources. In addition, there are links to catalogs specifically for business owners (or potential business owners) and federal employees.

Deadline Approaching for International Poetry/Art Contest

Each year, River of Words draws out the best poetry and art talent in the world. An international contest for grades K-12, River of Words focuses on watersheds as a central theme. This opportunity is designed to help youth express themselves through the arts, while exploring their environment and developing a sense of place and appreciation for discovery. River of Words is an excellent opportunity for art and literature classroom and program participants to strengthen their skills and make connections between the watershed theme and their artistic talents.

Entries are first judged in the international River of Words contest. National winners will be announced in April 2009. Indiana poetry and artwork will then be judged on a state level in May and state winners will be announced in June 2009. Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony at the Indiana State Library. Winning Indiana artists and poets will also receive statewide recognition and prizes showcasing their artwork!
