Holiday Walk 2009

Despite the cold and the rain, the town of Farmland was a warm and inviting location of Tuesday December 8th during its traditional Holiday Walk.

The library welcomed visitors with warm cinnamon apple punch and trays of homemade cookies, breads, and fudge. Children made colorful ornaments and bookmarks at a craft table and enjoyed seeing the lights and decorations bith inside and outside.


Everyone who visited received a free entry for the gift drawings. The gifts and winners were:

Young Readers Gift : Matthew from Winchester

Junior Reader Gift for Boys : Josiah White

Junior Reader Gift for Girls : Terry Toney
Three books: Newberry Girls and a set of 2 Dear America Books, a Jelly Belly Candy Set, and a Snowman Pin



Gift for Sportsmen : Luke Gibson
A book, The Greatest Fishing Tales Ever Told, A magazine: Indiana Game and Fish Magazine, a Fish Mug with coaster and memo pad, Peanut Butter Fudge, and a pair of Hand Warmers



Teen Reader Gift : Dan Mills
A book: Catching Fire, a mug of cocoa, goodies, and popcorn



Fiction Book Gift : Cindy Bowen
A book: Black Hills, Peppermint Body Cream, Snowman Pin, and Popcorn



Junior Reader Gift : Vera Wagner
The book, Dragon Rider; a mug with Cocoa, goodies, and popcorn



Christian Fiction Gift : Vicki Chalfant
A book: Shades of Blue, a blue scented candle, and a Snowman pin
