Technology Update

The library is undergoing technology upgrades this month!

The most useful upgrade for patrons is the addition of two new laptop computers for patron use inside the library. To use the laptops, you will need to have a signed computer use policy on file and will need to leave your drivers license and a credit card at the desk. (There is no fee to use the laptops, this is simply a security measure.) One wired computer will remain available for patrons who prefer to use a desktop model.

The upgrades also include more memory for faster downloads, a reliable laser printer (color and b/w) , improved security software, and an automatic 60 minute timer that will assist us in keeping the computers in rotation and reducing long waits. Thank you for your patience as we learn our about our new gadgets!

Please keep in mind that none of your work or session history is saved once you are logged off. You will need to bring a USB thumb drive or email your documents to yourself as an attachment to avoid losing your work.

The technology upgrades are being installed by Steve Baldwin of Perfect PC.
