Summer Reading Programs Wish List

Several inquiries have been received by the library about how to help out with the summer reading program, so a wish list has been put together. Many items are small, and might even be things collecting dust in your house, others require the gift of time, and some are sponsorships of library books that would add enrich the reading program. Here are some suggestions:

Individually wrapped snacks to be used for refreshments during summer reading programs

Sealed containers of juice or fruit drinks that do not require constant refrigeration or juice boxes to be used for refreshments during summer reading programs

Incentive or prizes for summer reading participants – small books, gift cards, bug-themed items

Bright blue and bright green foil wrapping paper

Gas gift cards, ($5 or $10) to defray the cost of the commute for reading leader volunteers

24 Styrofoam balls (2 ½ to 3 inches in diameter)

Clear or light color cellophane (the crinkly kind)

Dark colored ¾ to 1 inch wide tape (such as electrician’s tape)
